Welcome to St George’s Church, Lincoln, a dynamic parish church that wants to reach out to the people of Swallowbeck with the love of Jesus Christ.

Welcome to St George's Church Website

We offer our condolences and prayers for the Queen and her family on the death of His Royal Highness Prince Philip.
St George’s will be open for prayer, with an opportunity to sign a card of condolence, from 9 am - 6 pm daily until the day before the funeral.
If you would rather sign an online condolence book please go to the Church of England web site.

Here are three prayers you might like to use. Others are available at the Church of England web site:

God of our lives,
we give thanks for the life of Prince Philip,
for the love he shared among us and for his devotion to duty.
We entrust him now to your love and mercy, through our Redeemer Jesus Christ. Amen.

Merciful God, be close to all who mourn,
especially The Queen and all members of the Royal Family.
May they know the hope of your promises and the comfort of your love,
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Support us, O Lord, all the day long of this troublous life,
until the shades lengthen and the evening comes,
the busy world is hushed,
the fever of life is over and our work is done.
Then, Lord, in your mercy grant us safe lodging, a holy rest, and peace at the last;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Rev. Tim Voltzenlogel
It is with great sadness that we share the news that following his recent illness, our vicar, Rev Tim Voltzenlogel died peacefully with his family around him on Palm Sunday evening. He will be dearly missed by all at St George’s.

We recently circulated a letter of farewell from Tim, in his own words, dictated to a close friend of his.

Keep in touch with one another and let us know of any concerns you may have about anyone.

"Thank you for all the love and support you have shown me."

Rev Tim

In our second Good Friday Reflection Dave highlights what Jesus looks like to each of the two thieves on crosses beside him. Reflective activity: grab a pen and notebook and write a list of what Jesus like from your perspective. Do you see him as welcoming and loving or worry how he will respond to you? As we approach Easter and Jesus' ultimate act of forgiveness and love, take some time to challenge your response to him. A song to listen to as you reflect: www.youtube.com/watch?v=j09R9bbuFYY ...
